If you like people who challenge conventional wisdom then take a look at Penn and Teller's Bullshit series.
You can see some episodes on YouTube. As they have been up for a few years now, I assume that the producers of the show are happy for them to be there.
One of the most interesting is an episode on recycling. Penn and Teller argue that recycling can do more harm than good. If they are right, we need to rethink what we are doing. Then again, as they point out recycling has become so complicated we might be recycling the wrong things in the wrong bins. You might reject their central premise but they are right, recycling has become a challenge.
